MEALS

  • A full English breakfast is R135.00 per person and is served between 6.30am and 8.30am daily.
  • A buffet dinner or a la carte menu order is R250.00 per person and is served between: 6.00pm – 8.30pm daily.

Please note: All meals are served at a neighbouring lodge situated approximately 400m away from us.

We are also close to shopping malls as well as restaurants and we are on the Mr. Delivery route.

 

CHILDREN AND STAY POLICIES

  • Children under the age of 4 years old stay for FREE
  • Children 4 – 12 years of age pay an additional R100.00 per child per night
  • Children 13 years of age pay an additional R200.00 per child per night (charged as adults)
  • Minimum stay over weekends – 2 x nights
  • No single bookings on weekends in our Fully Self Catering Units – double rates apply
  • Poolside Garden Suite and Cosy Overnighters – Single bookings and single nights available on weekends.

HOUSE RULES

  • Absolutely no music systems, parties/social gatherings or visitors will be permitted on the premises without prior written approval from the Management Team. These rules are strictly enforced and non-negotiable.
  • Noise of any kind is strictly prohibited after 10:00 PM. Failure to comply will result in immediate intervention and may lead to eviction without refund.
  • Unregistered overnight guests will incur a mandatory surcharge of R200 per person per night. Guests found to have accommodated individuals not included in the original booking will be held liable for the full amount and may be asked to vacate the premises.
  • The use of fireworks on the property is strictly forbidden under any circumstances and is a direct violation of Municipal By-Laws. Any breach will be reported to local authorities.
  • Swimming is strictly prohibited after 7:00 PM during summer and after 6:00 PM during winter. These times are enforced without exception.
  • Alcohol consumption in or around the pool area is not permitted at any time.
  • All children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult while using the swimming pool. Unaccompanied minors will not be allowed in the pool area.
  • Wensleydale Guest Lodge does not require a breakages deposit and relies on guests’ honesty. Any breakage or theft discovered after departure will be reported and invoiced to the responsible guest.
  • The refreshments basket and toiletries provided are complimentary upon arrival and will not be replenished during your stay.

Smoking Policy – Strictly Enforced

  • All suites at Wensleydale Guest Lodge are strictly non-smoking. Smoking inside any unit is prohibited without exception.
  • Guests are not permitted to smoke indoors under any circumstances, as it causes significant and lasting damage to curtains, linens, towels, and furnishings.
  • Ashtrays have been provided exclusively for outdoor use. Guests are expected to use these areas responsibly.
  • If any evidence of smoking is detected inside a suite, an automatic R500 deep cleaning and deodorizing fee will be charged to the guest’s account. This charge is non-negotiable.
  • Continued disregard for this policy may result in immediate eviction from the property without refund.

 

PAYMENT PROCEDURES

A 50% deposit is required upfront in order to secure your booking, with the remaining 50% payable upon arrival. Payment can be made via credit card, electronic banking transfer or cash. Please note that bookings are only confirmed once a deposit of 50% to 100% has been received. Until such payment is made, we are not obligated to hold any reservations.

CANCELLATION DETAILS

The following cancellation fee applies on the full value of the booking:

  • If cancelled within 35 days prior to arrival – 25%
  • If cancelled 14 to 7 days prior to arrival – 50%
  • If cancelled 7 to 2 days or less prior to arrival or no show – 100%
  • For two or more rooms booked by a guest – if cancelled within 72 hours prior to arrival or no show, will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.
  • For booking amendments made 10 days or less before arrival, please note that if you choose to shorten your stay, no refunds will be issued for the unused nights. This applies to amendments made during your stay as well. 

PLEASE NOTE: All partial deposits of less than 50% will be forfeited upon cancellation of your reservation.
